Student Athletes named to NTJCAC All-Academic Team

Twenty-three sophomore Hill College student athletes have been placed on the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) All-Academic Team for the 2018-2019 year. The qualifications of this award are that each recipient has completed three semesters of college studies with a minimum of 36 hours of courses that leads to a college degree, and must maintain an accumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher. The student athlete must have participated in at least one season on the varsity level and lettered in one or more sports. 

The athletes nominated are as follows:

Baseball: Grant Bruce, Plano; Taylor Daniell, Ennis; Reed Hamilton, League City; Craig Keuchel, Conroe; Cameron Lang, Midlothian; Keller Southard, Blooming Grove; and Zach Wilson, Ponder.

Women’s basketball: Jade Compton, Garland; Shelby Corry, Crockett; Kelsey Crouse, Sachse; and Miranda Stephens, Rosenberg.

Women’s soccer: Michealla Doyle, Joshua; Tristan Escamilla, Brownwood; Dariana Recarte, Houston; Olivia Rees, Preston, England; Katy Reid, Katy; and Gabriela Saldana, Wichita Falls.

Men’s soccer:  Praise Ayeni, England; Killian Panis, Halle, Belgium; Thomas Pearson, Newport, Wales; and Jacob White, England.

Volleyball: Morgan Burns, LaVernia.

Women’s rodeo: Maci Ray, Maybank.

NTJCAC is a junior college athletic conference sponsored by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
